Gift Cards

Gift cards or coupons for door prizes

Each guest receives a door prize ticket and prizes are announced throughout the day. In 2024, more than $5,500 in gift cards to local grocery and retail stores were donated by the church family.

Goal: Minimum $10 per card

Drop-off: Weekday church office: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday. Sunday mornings: 8:30–11:30 a.m. Write the dollar amount on the card before placing it in the WL Grace giving slots or leaving it at the Connections Desk.

Suggested cards include Walmart, Meijer, Dollar Tree, Walgreens, CVS, fast-food and family restaurants, Kroger, Aldi, auto-parts or fuel cards, barber shops and hair salons.

Household Items

Liquid laundry detergent

One bottle is provided to each family unit. Because food assistance does not cover this item, it meets an important practical need.

Goal: 300 bottles

Drop-off: Donations may be dropped off at the church during weekday office hours or Sunday morning worship times. A trailer is available at the church front entrance on Sunday mornings.

Manicure station supplies

Nail polish, polish remover, files and other supplies used at the manicure station.

Gift Baskets

Gift baskets

Gift baskets are presented as door prizes. The minimum value of the contents should be $40. Attach a removable note with the estimated value.

Goal: $40 minimum value

The container should allow the contents to be visible. Suggested themes include personal hygiene, kitchen and cooking, “just add water,” tools, pampering, or your own creative theme. Gift baskets are a great Life Group or ABF project.

New items only: children’s toys, games, educational materials, winter hats, gloves, mittens, boots and scarves.

Only parents enter the gift store. Free gift wrapping is provided. Items receive a nominal price well below half their actual cost; proceeds support the church’s monthly Gas Card Day.

New or gently used winter coats in children through adult sizes.
